With a focus on high-quality matcha and an inviting atmosphere, this hidden gem is a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind while indulging in exquisite Japanese flavors.

The cafe's signature offering, the Matcha Parfait (抹茶パフェ 千代の白), is a must-try. Priced at JP¥1,760, this luxurious dessert features two premium matcha varieties, Chiyo no Shiro and Matsu no Rai—known for their rich flavors and distinctive aromas. Each layer boasts a delectable combination of self-made matcha ice cream, yuzu-scented mascarpone cream, and silky panna cotta crafted from domestic high-quality wasanbon sugar. The interplay of bitterness, fragrance, and sweetness in various textures creates a symphony of tastes that will transport you straight to the heart of Japan's tea culture.

If you're seeking a light yet satisfying morning option, the Wagashi Set (わらびもちと葛練り お茶セット) at JP¥900 is a delightful choice. This pairing of chewy, smooth warabi mochi and rich kuzuguri will awaken your senses, especially with the hint of matcha that lingers on the palate. Customers rave about the deliciousness and value of this morning set, making it an ideal start to your day.

You'll feel at home as you sip your drink and savor each bite of your meal. As one patron noted, "the layout of the cafe is awesome," and it's indeed a sight worth experiencing beyond just a quick photo.

Recent reviews underscore the cafe's commitment to quality and service. Great little hidden gem! Authentic delicious Korean home cooked style food! We ordered 3 different dishes and all of them were amazing. Great value with the large portion as well. Though there could be a line during lunch time, and they might not take customers when it's near the end of their lunch service (around 1:30 - 1:45)

The morning set, french toast and drink, is a really good deal. And I highly recommend to try grape sencha.

Definitely stop by and try out the food out here, I also had an Iced latte that was incredible! The layout of the cafe is awesome, I didn’t want to risk being obnoxious and snap photos but it’s a sight to take in with your own eyes!

Very nice place. Good tea selections and tasty shaved ice. I bought a green tea rolled cake for home and it was delicious!

This charming little tea shop definitely punches above its weight class. Though far from spacious, the shop’s charming decor manages to keep you feeling quite cozy, making Hayashiya Cha-en Meguro a perfect place to relax while enjoying a refreshing cup of tea and a snack. The sweets here are delicious as well as visually appealing, and pair wonderfully with the shop’s satisfying selection of teas, served in aesthetically pleasing serving wear.

Decent restaurant and dessert cafe, located near Meguro station. Lunch sets are tasty and reasonably priced. Matcha latte was also good.
